Course Overview

Endorsed by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the leading qualification for events medical cover, high risk safety, rescue and response work. The First Response Emergency Care (FREC) Level 3 covers the full range of skills required by the HSE for first aid, and more! The FREC system is modular building on the level 3 to level 4 & 5 where you learn a whole range of patient observations, anatomy theory and clinical skills.

Over 5 days, you will fulfil the competencies set out in the PHEM skills framework at descriptor level D, gaining the knowledge and practical skills needed to deal with a range of prehospital emergency care situations. The level 3 course overs trauma management, incident management, airway management including the use of interventions, observations and oxygen therapy.

This course is the start of pre-hospital care professional progression. Ideal for those working in high risk industries such as rescue teams, film production safety, challenge events and remote access area work. Being a pre-hospital care course this is ideal for those wishing to work in emergency roles within the events medical industry or responders within communities.
